  How can the standard-features word-processing programs be exploited for teaching writing skills?

Well I think that nowadays teachers and students know how to use a computer and it is very important because it helps to develop writing skills. I think the standard features word processing programs are very necessary in teaching and can be exploited In order to write and revise effectively with a word-processing program on a computer. I believe that many students can develop writing skills using the computer because they learn to write effectively.

 I think that sometimes skill at text editing has been virtually ignored in studies on word-processing programs and writing but it is necessary to students. I consider that students must know about word processing programs In order to examine the relationship between revision and word processing, it is necessary to know whether students can use text editors effectively.

On the other hand, when students do receive instruction in typing and text editing, it is not surprising that they become skilled at these tasks because many of them know how to type easily, so that it is important that teachers exploit theirs knowledge teaching them using the computer in order to develop writing skills and how can teachers do that? For example they can tell their students that type homework assignments or they can write journals or something like that and in that way the teaching and learning will be better.

do you think technologies should play a central role in second language?

Do you think technologies (e.g. videos computers, etc.) should play a central or pherical role in second language teaching and learning? Why?

 I consider that nowadays the use of technologies is really important because they play an important role in learning and teaching.  I think that if we as teachers use the new technologies to teach we will get better results in teaching because the students will be interested in the class and they will learn in an easier way.

I think that if we use technologies when we teach the class could be more efficiently and more dynamic. For example the use of the computer is really necessary because we can use it to teach students because we can show them some videos and images about the topic that we will teach.

In the other hand students should know about how these technologies can help them to improve their knowledge and How can they this? First able they should know how to use it and then they can look for some information about that topics that they study and they will enrich their knowledge day after day through technologies.

I believe that all teachers and students should know that technologies play a really important role between teaching and learning.

1-Was the instructional objective met? How do you know students learned what were intended?

Well I think that for the class that I have given the instructional objective have been reached because when I teach I pretend that my students be interested in to learn English and that they can enrich their knowledge. Indeed I believe that my students learned what was intended because many of them get the topics in a easily way and they like to participle on develop of the class.

2-Were the students productively engaged? How do you know?

I think that my students were productively engaged because all of them participate in a warm- up that I did and they participate in an activity that was developed on the classroom, besides they were engaged because they work and group and it helps them to feel comfortable and in a good environment.

3-Did you alter your instructional plan as you taught the lesson? Why?

Actually I haven’t done this because for the time being I have developed my classes in the complete time and I haven’t needed to change an activity or something like that.

4-What additional assistance, support, and/or resources would have further enhanced this lesson?

I believe that if I had used a song or a dynamic my class could have been better but no always we can obtain all the resources even though these are necessary.

5-If you had the opportunity to teach the lesson again to the same group of students, would you do anything differently? What? Why?

If I will have the opportunity to teach to the same group maybe I would change some things for example I would like to teach them through a song and I would give them some pages to improve their practice because it will help them to improve your learning.

                                                                     

What do you think is the role of research in improving our understanding of teaching?

To understand the role of research in improving our understanding we to need to know the research is defined as digging deep into knowledge or investigating an existing issue.

The research plays an important role and it sees the essential skills in teaching as the followings

·       Understanding the learning principles.

·       Develop tasks and activities based on the learning principles.

·       Monitor students’ performance on tasks to see that desired performance is being achieved.

These slkills are very important because if we as teachers applie them will be good teachers and our students will learn a lot.

We need to develop tasks and activities based of the  principles in order to students can obtain a better knowledge; therefore the role of research is very interesting because it help us to improve our understanding of teaching and we will know what can we do every time that we  teach because every single teacher need to know and understand everything about teaching because our principle objective is that students can we learn and the research will helps us to know more and more about the teaching world.

 Apparently when teachers and students are involved in classroom research works as part of the teaching and learning processes, it creates a bond of involvement and commitment that results in classroom centered research studies for quality teaching and learning and also publications.

                                                                     

What experience do you have of learning a second or foreign language?

 What experience do you have of learning a second or foreign language? How would you characterize the teacher´s teaching method? How effective did you find it?

Well actually I have had a lot experiences learning a foreign language. I think that learning English is so good and it is an interesting language but at the same time it is difficult for me, too. Sometimes learning English has made me feel so frustrated because there are things that I don’t get it or they are difficult to understand, but I enjoy learning this language even sometimes is complicated.

I remember when I began this major I didn’t pass Basic English  and I felt so disappointed because I believed that to study English it was going to be easy to me but I was wrong, but I didn’t give up and when I took it again I felt so safe of myself.

Learning English gives us good experiences and right now I’m so motivated and I want to let my fears  because I’m afraid to talk in front some people and it is a big problem for my learning because the more I speak the more that I will learn but I’m doing the possible to left them.

In the other hand I believe the teachers method teaching play an important role because they have encouraged us through their use.

In my pass for this major I have had different teachers and for me the methods that they have used have been so good because I have learned a lot even though every teacher has his own style to teach.

Something that I can say about teachers’ methods is that sometimes they don’t use them effectively because the class sometimes is boring and many of us lost the attention but depends of the teacher because there are many teachers that are boring to teach.

In conclusion I like those teachers which make their classes very dynamics because I learn more in that way and when they use different strategies I believe that almost all the class get the topics in a easier way and it causes a better effective to our knowledge. Many teachers in my major teach in an excellent way using strategies and methods effectively.

Teaching Approach, Teaching Method, Teaching Techinique, and Teaching Strategies

While teaching, teachers need to know several approaches to teaching. It is important to recognize them in order to put them into practice in the classroom.

We need to define different concepts when teaching such as: teaching approach, teaching method, teaching technique, and teaching strategies.

Teaching approach: It is a set of assumptions dealing with the nature of language learning and teaching.

It is your own personal philosophy of teaching. What is the nature of education? What is the role of the teacher, the student, the administration, and the parents? To be an effective teacher is the best way to engender a sense of trust and familiarity.

Teaching method: Method is defined as an overall plan for systematic presentation of language based on a selected approach. It refers to how you apply your answers from the previous questions to your day to day instruction in front of your students.

Teaching techniques: they are specific classroom activities consistent with a method and therefore harmony with an approach as well.

Teaching strategies: Our role as teachers is to create an environment in which all students can participate to the best of their abilities. One of our greatest challenges is to provide a positive learning environment for the students in our classroom. Because each student has his or her own unique set of physical and intellectual abilities, perceptions, and needs, the learning styles of our students may vary widely.

The main difference between teaching approach and teaching method is that teaching approach is what we think about education, teaching and learning as well. Teaching method is how we apply our philosophy of learning in our classroom. Teaching approach is our own theory of learning and teaching while teaching method is how we apply our own theory of learning and teaching in our classrooms. Teaching method is more specific because it includes many clues and hints to make learning take place and to make students raise awareness about their own learning. 

A technique is a very specific, concrete practice or trick designed to accomplish an immediate objective. Teaching strategies is like the way the teacher develops activities in the classroom. The role of the teacher is mainly to create a very good atmosphere of learning so that students will learn as much as possible and develop skills as well.

 How we help our students reach their potential to the fullest.

Self –fulfillment is a liberating part of education, perhaps the most important purpose of education.

I think that we as teacher play a very important role to our students and we can help them to reach their potential but we need to ask; How can we do that? I believe that Trans.

Formation is an illuminating change in head and heart that helps learners achieve their potential and their purpose because if they are interested in learn something they will do it in a good way something to learn something could be very difficult but if we as teachers encourage them and believe in their potential they will want to learn more and more , this is why teachers play an interesting role and we are called to activate the spiritual essence in every learner and our duty is to inspirate then day after day . What is going on in the hearts headlines of the teachers’ attention.  We as teachers must believe in the potential of our students.

HOW CAN WE, TEACHERS, BE A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION TO OUR STUDENTS

Well I think that we can be a source of inspiration to our students in different ways for example the way to teach them have to be very important because we need that they pay attention , so that the class need that a good environment and if we do this , students will feel comfortable and they will want to learn . Another is the communication between teacher and students; they must have a good relationship because it will help students to feel confidents.

We have to motivate our students and must be an example to them if we are an excellent inspiration they will want to learn a lot.
